Funding in Action

At least 75% of proceeds remain in the community in which they were collected, supporting local organizations selected by the hotel staff, in collboration with the Good Night Foundation.

Our Member Hotels have chosen the following local organizations to support:

Big Sur Volunteer Fire Brigade

The Big Sur Volunteer Fire Brigade was formed in 1974 to provide structure fire protection for the residents and businesses in the Big Sur area. Our area covers 60 miles of coastline, along Highway One, from Hurricane Point on the north end to the Monterey/San Luis Obispo County line on the south. We were then and still are an all-volunteer Brigade, currently with about 40 members. Our organization now provides structure and wild land fire protection, and in addition we respond to medical calls, vehicle accidents, high angle rescues, coastal and hazardous materials incidents, and we provide management and mutual aid for major incidents such as large wildfires and emergency road closures which can isolate the entire community.

Big Sur Health Center

Family Care Network, The Family Care Network serves foster and high-needs children, youth and families on the Central Coast. Our partners, including individual volunteers, families and organizations, are dedicated to a sole purpose of improving the quality of life of others by surrounding them with compassionate assistance, care and guidance.

Cal Poly Sustainable Agricultural

The CAFES Center for Sustainability supports the Cal Poly College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences (CAFES) in the fulfillment of its sustainability goals In keeping with Cal Poly's polytechnic, 'Learn-by-Doing' tradition, the Center is particularly interested in creating opportunities for hands-on, applied learning. We also seek to support activities and develop expertise of particular relevance to California's Central Coast.

Action Network

With over 800,000 members, Action Network is a gateway to online activism centers for over 170 leading environment, health and population advocacy organizations. Action Network ensures that the power to change our world is only as far away as your computer.

Redwood Coast Humane Society

Gualala Arts Center, The Gualala Arts Center is a community arts organization, located in Gualala, California, and dedicated to promoting public interest and participation in the arts since 1961.

Marin Organic

Marin Organic is an association of organic producers in Marin County whose livelihood is based on a respect for nature and a sense of place. As the primary link between farmers and eaters, Marin Organic is committed to promoting and supporting a sustainable, organic county - a county in which growers and the people who rely on them recognize their mutual interdependence.

Institute at the Golden Gate

The Institute at the Golden Gate advances environmental preservation and global sustainability by facilitating cross-sector dialogue and collaboration, encouraging new partnerships, and promoting action.

Therapeutic Riding Center

At Little Bit Therapeutic Riding Center, we provide equine-assisted therapies for children and adults with disabilities. Our mission is to improve the bodies, minds and spirits of children and adults with disabilities through equine-assisted therapy and to be an inspiration and educational resource to the therapeutic riding profession, both regionally and nationally.

Gualala Arts Center

A community arts organization, located in Gualala, California, dedicated to promoting public interest and participation in the arts since 1961.

Bay Area Discovery Museum

The Bay Area Discovery Museum is a one-of-a-kind indoor and outdoor children's museum at the foot of the Golden Gate Bridge dedicated tonurturing childhood creativity.

Marin Food Bank

The mission of Marin Food Bank is to provide quality food, the most basic of all human necessities, to people in Marin County who need nutritional assistance.

Marine Mammal Center

Our mission is to expand knowledge about marine mammals-their health and that of their ocean environment-and to inspire their global conservation. Our core work is the rescue and rehabilitation of sick and injured marine mammals, supported by state-of-the-art animal care and research facilities, a corps of dedicated volunteers, and an engaged community.

Agricultural Institute of Marin

Our mission is to promote a viable food system, to educate the public about the benefits of buying fresh and locally grown food, and to bring farmers and communities together.
