Our Founders The Good Night Foundation originated with the co-founder and managing partner of Passport Resorts LLC and creator of Post Ranch Inn in Big Sur, California; and Jack Theimer, president of The Theimer Group, chief executive officer of HPJ Media Ventures and Clinton Global Initiative member. As leaders in their respective fields of acclaimed resorts and lifestyle media, they believe the hospitality environment offers a unique nexus for travelers to assist in improving destinations they visit and enjoy, as well as the community-at-large and the global environment.
Our Inspiration The Good Night Foundation was inspired by the Clinton Global Initiative. The goals of this non-partisan initiative are to increase the benefits and reduce the burdens of global interdependence; to make a world of more partners and fewer enemies; and to give more people the tools they need to build a better future.
The Clinton Global Initiative It brings together a community of global leaders to devise and implement innovative solutions to global problems, with a focus on practical, effective measures that can be taken now. One of the initiative’s defining elements is that each participant is asked to personally take some form of action to address problems. Each commitment is a directed effort by individuals, organizations, corporations, and governments that seeks to translate good ideas into tangible actions.
Since its launch in 2005, the Clinton Global Initiative has generated more than 850 commitments impacting more than 1,000 organizations in 100 countries, and affecting tens of millions of lives.
Our Methods The Good Night Foundation's commitment addresses global challenges by supporting projects focused on health, education, poverty alleviation and the environment.
